About you

We’re looking for a permanent full-time sales consultant who is outgoing, confident, and bubbly to be around. You are driven and always up for a challenge. You will be relatable to our customers on different levels by understanding our customers' needs and creating lasting personal relationships.


About our role

The Vehicle Sales Consultant position will see you as part of an innovative and customer-focused sales team, working rostered days between Monday and Sunday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, based at our Nissan and Chery dealership in Glenfield, Auckland. We encourage new approaches and initiatives to drive results. This role is suited to a reliable, self-motivated, solutions-focused individual. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers, identifying their needs, and delivering a premium showroom experience
  • Presenting, demonstrating, and test-driving new and used vehicles
  • Developing and maintaining lasting business relationships with retail and business customers
  • Managing the full sales process 
  • Prospecting, cold calling, and generating new leads to grow your pipeline
  • Managing and updating your customer database/CRM for ongoing follow-up and repeat business
  • Preparing and negotiating sales quotations and contracts
  • Meeting and exceeding agreed sales targets and KPIs
  • Conducting trade-in appraisals and managing valuations with management
  • Ensuring display stock is maintained, presented, and merchandised to brand standards


Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a vehicle sales environment is essential
  • Motor vehicle industry knowledge and a strong understanding of the sales process are required
  • Proven franchise experience with either Nissan or Chery
  • Providing excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to self-manage whilst working within a team
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience using in-house computer systems.
  • Currently living in New Zealand and/or holding a valid NZ work visa (if applicable)

  • Base salary of $50,000 with uncapped commissions
  • Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week
