 About our role

The Service Manager role will see you work Monday to Friday with Rostered Saturdays at our Nissan workshop in Henderson, Auckland. This role will see you utilise your multitasking skills as you will have to split your time as the service manager, service adviser, and workshop foreman all the while providing outstanding customer service through the management and prioritising of workshop jobs to its optimum. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise between the Service Advisors and Technicians regarding the priorities and status of workshop jobs.
  • Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise service department performance, including sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, coaching and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety in all service activities.
  • To optimise the productivity and efficiency of the Technicians and Apprentices to maximise the workshop throughput and profitability.
  • To contribute to achieving high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring all work is processed through the workshop to meet customer expectations of timeliness and quality. 


Skills & Experience

  • Valid NZ Driver's Licence
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
  • Solid understanding of automotive service operations, including technical knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task & cope under pressure situations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 
  • Currently living in New Zealand and/or hold a valid work visa (If applicable)
  • Current WoF certificate is desirable
